The Sinti Swing Quartet
The brothers Sébastien and Youri Félix come from a well-known and musically illustrious French Sinti family. Sébastien is considered one of the finest solo guitarists in Gypsy Jazz today, and is also an experienced teacher of the style; his brother Youri is a specialist in the percussive rhythm guitar technique known as "la pompe", and is also noted for his skill as a composer of gypsy jazz tunes.
John Intrator is one of the best violinists in gypsy jazz today, praised by Stephane Grappelli and Claude Williams, among others.
Sébastien,Youri, John and the french double-bassist Bernard Chalon were the founding members of the Sinti Swing Quartet; after Bernard’s departure, the Swiss double-bass player Alain Dessauges became the fourth member of the group.
Sinti Swing also has a second, equally excellent double-bass player: Michel Tournier.
